"Joe, Joe, your manners blow
You're a prick and no one knows
You kill and lie so everyone will die
Nope, no one knows
The Joe who blows..."
"Would you shut up already?! You are driving me insane with your endless banter and your less than whity song lyrics. I still don't think that you understand the seriousness of the situation that you are in, much less what will happen to you if I decide that something must be done."
Daniel tapped his chin slightly, trying to look engaged in thought, though it was obvious he was just putting on a show. Staring at the ceiling for a moment, he made a clicking noise with his tongue before returning his attentions.
"Oh, no, I think you might be the one not understanding. You do realize that you aren't getting anywhere unless I'm standing behind you, babying you on? I'd hate to seem insensitive, but yeah, I guess that's what I am..."
"Never have I had such an ungrateful creature following me. You should be sent to the bowels of hell."
"Ahh really? Then I'd have to hang out with you all of the time!"
Daniel flashed a cavity-forming grin, beaming with everything he had left. Joe was in front of him in a heartbeat, trying in vain to grab him. He slashed at the vision a few times before storming off, completely frustrated.
"Oh, is Joe all pissy-wissy now?"
"Damn you Jones! What are you trying to pull? Is there something that I'm just not grasping out of this situation?"
"Of course. Why would anyone in their right mind try to get you mad? Hmm, I don't know...Maybe to gain an advantage?"
"You have no advantage! You're a ghost, a spirit, an apparition. NOT REAL!"
"You of all people should know that I'm as real as you are, no joke. I'm going to prove it to you soon...I'm going to make your life a living hell..."
"Good, that makes two of us!"
The slamming of the dressing room door left Daniel in a slight chuckle, grinning as he casually flicked a beer bottle off of the desk. He watched it roll on the floor for a moment, delighting in his new found ability. Somewhere in his mind, he understood well enough that he was treading on a thin line the way he was, but hopefully he could prove that he was one person that would not be wanted anywhere near hell's gate any time soon.
What plagued him badly was the fact that if he was to do anything major to try to get out of the situation faster, it was only going to haunt him later when he got his body back. Thoughts of pulling down his pants on stage randomly made their way through his head, but he didn't want to deal with the backlash of publicity that was sure to follow such an event. No, it would have to be little things, just between the two of them, and maybe someone else if Daniel could manage it.
Joe was waiting patiently when Darren and Leonie arrived, ready to tell him the next days worth of plans. Of course, certain things had to be attended to, with it being their first tour. Interviews, photo shoots, and some company dinner were already lined up, and all Daniel could do was sit back and snicker.
"Welcome to the life of a celeb, mate. Can't say you chose any better a person. You're guaranteed not to say much anyway, so not a problem there. Can't wait until you screw up though...Can't wait to watch it either."
"If I screw up, you're done!"
"Who are you talking to Daniel?"
Joe turned his attentions back to Darren quickly, shooting me a sideways glare.
"Just myself...Sorry about that, please continue."
Joe watched him, following with his eyes as Dan wandered around the room, stopping to take a peek at Leonie's list before falling into a fit of giggles. Leaning slightly, Daniel tried to catch his balance on Darren's shoulder. Darren jumped up from his seat, turning around suddenly.
"Did you touch me?"
Leonie only shook her head as Darren rubbed his shoulder, looking around the room. Joe's expression had changed drastically from the usual slate that was kept to one of surprise. Daniel shrugged.
"Well, guess now you know, Joe. Even we ghosts have some talents. Maybe we can experiment on you sometime..."
